Copyright
Uncronopio.org (Behind Uncronopio) is maintained by Luis A. Apiolaza, based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Most pages—including text and graphics—are my copyright (1997–2009) and some rights are reserved. Nevertheless, in some cases (publications, for example) I have transferred the copyright to the publishers, which have their own copyright policies, as indicated in the page. These pages reflect only personal views and have no relationship with anybody else’s, including my employer, family members and cat.
I am open to receive constructive comments and suggestions, which you can send me using this form?.
Any browser
These pages are ‘best viewed’ with a computer. Thus, any browser that supports web standards and style sheets, which cover most modern versions of browsers (including IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) should do the job. Without this condition, you still can have a look at these pages, but with a slightly different formatting. Do not complain, just get a decent browser. I have moved all the code to valid XHTML 1.0 and CSS. The ‘last modified’ date corresponds to individual wiki pages; the quantum forest weblog is updated in a more or less weekly basis.
Tools
A short history of the tools used for maintaining this site:
- This site was initially designed with the help of Arachnophilia, an excellent HTML editor (under a Careware license) programed by Paul Lutus.
- Later I changed editors and used Context and Jedit to manipulate the HTML code of this site which, by the way, is very lean.
- Even later I maintained the non-weblog pages with PmWiki and the weblog with Textpattern. There is a description of my PmWiki configuration in Wiki Setup and a local version of PmWiki’s documentation.
- Now I run the weblog using Wordpress.
Site incarnations
These web pages started in 1996 as a http://geocities.com site, I think it was in the ‘Cape Canaveral’ neighbourhood. After getting tired of the advertising I obtained my own domain (http://uncronopio.org) in 2002. I have some images of Old Designs and Old Pictures used in this site.
